On July 13, 2018, we befriended a lovely, pregnant, homeless African refugee in a crisis pregnancy. We were so thrilled that this beautiful mother chose life for her baby. The sonogram, unfortunately, showed lissencephaly, so we navigated through very difficult decisions with her, and she chose to spend as many precious days as God would allow with this baby before and after birth. Beautiful Gabriel was born on August 3, 2018 and spent precious hours in the arms of his beloved mother, and passed peacefully from this life, cherished and loved. Gabriel was baptized and confirmed by a priest, and passed from this life into eternal joy in heaven. Through the great efforts of local Christian African families, Tepeyac OB/GYN (Fairfax, VA), Catholic Charities, a pro-bono immigration lawyer, St. Vincent de Paul, Isaiah’s Promise and many friends, many of the necessities to fully support our mother and baby were met by solving one problem at a time. Gabriel is buried at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, MD in a plot donated by one of those friends.
We are now asking for your generous support to purchase a grave marker to memorialize this short, beautiful life. May he intercede for us to end abortion and to help all mothers to choose life for their baby through the support of Christian families.
