Jacob Tarlow’s Shamrock Shuffle for OLA

The former school building is in need of major construction for our outreach purposes – feeding and serving the poor in West Humboldt Park, Chicago. 

What the building is going to be used for:

-Hosting volunteers and retreatants 
-Food pantry 
-Adoration chapel 
-Feeding the poor and service groups/volunteers 
-Breakout space/conference space  

Help them reach their goal by contributing now!

Suggestions to donate: 
1.  Instead of buying a week’s worth of coffee, donate that amount instead. 
2.  Sponsor X amount per step/per mile 
3.  It’s during Lent…think of Almsgiving! 
4.  If you love St. Patty’s Day, donate twice the amount! 
5.  Your hard-earned money goes directly to the Mission.  Every bit helps.  Donate what you can.

Team Mission of Our Lady of the Angels will be fundraising through the 2020 Bank of America Chicago Marathon and Shamrock Shuffle!

The Mission of Our Lady of the Angels exists to provide material and spiritual support to the West Humboldt Park, Chicago- one of the most challenged neighborhoods in the United States. The Mission feeds about 1000 families a month, provides additional material and pastoral support to families, youth, and senior citizens, and, most importantly, brings the love of Christ to a neighborhood desperately in need of hope. 

Funds raised from Team OLA 2020 will be used to complete the renovation & begin the programming out of the Mission’s new outreach center to the poor in West Humboldt Park, Chicago. The new outreach center will provide the very needed space for the Mission’s donation storage/ distribution, a handicapped accessible kitchen/ dining room, meeting space for neighborhood and retreat groups, and a 45+ bedroom retreat center for volunteers and retreat guests. We are very excited to be opening this facility in 2020!

Just had a baby now homeless in car

Hello my name Nicole Heath and my husband is Bryan Kellem we never have done this asking for help but really in a very bad situation right now. We had our son 2 days ago and currently homeless in our car with our son and it’s really cold outside. We don’t have any family or friends in our area and hardly have any gas in our car to drive anywhere we called our local homeless shelter but they don’t have any room available right now for us they said we are extremely embarrassed having to ask for help right now on here but have to do what we have to right now. We have very little diapers, baby formula, husband and I haven’t gotten to eat for 3 days and extremely hungry every little bit would help. We found someone willing to rent a room for us for $250 a month with all bills included just needing the help to reach the goal to get the opportunity for us to get the room and at least $50 so we can get some food to eat as well as diapers and baby formula. If anyone could help us reach at least $300 or even more we would very much appreciate it. Really needing to get gas in car where we can go try to file for food stamps and WIC. We are very desperate right now for the help we have been homeless for nearly a month now as we both lost our disability checks and with barely any gas in the car right now we can’t be driving to try to get my husband a job with very little gas our gas light is on and nearly about to be below the line of completely empty like I said we really hate asking for the help but desperately in need of it right now ASAP. WHEN WE GET WHERE WE CAN HELP SOMEONE OUT WE WILL PAY IT FORWARD!!!! Anything helps please don’t hesitate to reach out to us thank you very much for reading and God bless you all.

Help replacing totaled car

My wife and I from Volga an accident on February 12th 2020. Our vehicle was involved in a head-on collision. The vehicles completely totaled we bought the vehicle on December 26th 2019. Unfortunately we do not have the funds to assist a vehicle at this time. We are having a rough time being able to get to the grocery store, I’m being able to get to the doctor’s appointments. Anything helps. Thank you and God bless

Where we’re staying we have no electric and its cold and it would be a blessing if someone could help with enough money to get a motel for a night or two

William Ross funeral and help his family

My dear friend Bill suddenly passed Sunday the 23rd he had no will and was the sole provider of his wife, so and raising his grandkids his wife of 35 years is now alone with no income and a service rent electric groceries and water bills to pay I wish I could bring a blessing to this family in there heartbroken life right now please feel free to message me with any questions thank you and God bless you all
