Doctor fired for opposing children’s Covid shots

The Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms represents Dr. Francis Christian, Clinical Professor of General Surgery at the University of Saskatchewan and a practising surgeon in Saskatoon. Dr. Christian was called into a meeting today, suspended from all teaching responsibilities effective immediately, and fired from his position with the University of Saskatchewan as of September 2021.

There is a recording of Dr. Christian’s meeting today between Dr. Christian and Dr. Preston Smith, the Dean of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan, College of Medicine, Dr. Susan Shaw, the Chief Medical Officer of the Saskatchewan Health Authority, and Dr. Brian Ulmer, Head of the Department of Surgery at the Saskatchewan College of Medicine.
In addition, the Justice Centre will represent Dr. Christian in his defence of a complaint that was made against him and an investigation by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan. The complaint objects to Dr. Christian having advocated for the informed consent of Covid vaccines for children.
Dr. Christian has been a surgeon for more than 20 years and began working in Saskatoon in 2007. He was appointed Director of the Surgical Humanities Program and Director of Quality and Patient Safety in 2018 and co-founded the Surgical Humanities Program. Dr. Christian is also the Editor of the Journal of The Surgical Humanities.
On June 17, Dr. Christian released a statement to over 200 doctors which contained his concerns regarding giving the Covid shots to children. In it he noted that he is pro-vaccine, and that he did not represent any group, the Saskatchewan Health Authority, or the University of Saskatchewan. “I speak to you directly as a physician, a surgeon, and a fellow human being.” Dr. Christian noted that the principle of informed consent was sacrosanct and noted that a patient should always be “fully aware of the risks of the medical intervention, the benefits of the intervention, and if any alternatives exist to the intervention.”
“This should apply particularly to a new vaccine that has never before been tried in humans… before the vaccine is rolled out to children, both children and parents must know the risks of m-RNA vaccines,” he wrote.
Dr. Christian expressed concern that he had not come across “a single vaccinated child or parent who has been adequately informed” about Covid vaccines for children.
Among his points, he stated that:
– The m-RNA vaccine, is a new, experimental vaccine never used by humans before.
– The m-RNA vaccines have not been fully authorized by Health Canada or the US CDC, and are in fact under “interim authorization” in Canada and “emergency use authorization” in the US. He noted that “full vaccine approval takes several years and multiple safety considerations – this has not happened.”
– That in order to qualify for “emergency use authorization” there must be an emergency. While he said there is a strong case for vaccinating the elderly, the vulnerable and health care workers, he said, “Covid does not pose a threat to our kids. The risk of them dying of Covid is less than 0.003% – this is even less than the risk of them dying of the flu. There is no emergency in children.”
– Children do not readily transmit the Covid virus to adults.
– M-RNA vaccines have been “associated with several thousand deaths” in the Vaccine Adverse Reporting System in the US. “These appear to be unusual, compared to the total number of vaccines administered.” He called it a “strong signal that should not be ignored.”
– He noted that vaccines have already caused “serious medical problems for kids” worldwide, including “a real and significantly increased risk” of myocarditis, inflammation of the heart. Dr. Christian notes the German national vaccine agency and the UK vaccine agency are not recommending the vaccine for healthy children and teenagers.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority/College of Medicine wrote a letter to Dr. Christian on June 21, 2021, alleging that they had “received information that you are engaging in activities designed to discourage and prevent children and adolescents from receiving Covid-19 vaccination contrary to the recommendations and pandemic-response efforts of Saskatchewan and Canadian public health authorities.”
Dr. Christian’s concerns regarding underage Covid vaccinations are not isolated to him.  The US Centre for Disease Control had an “emergency meeting” today to discuss the growing cases of myocarditis (heart inflammation) in younger males after receiving the Covid-19 vaccines.
The CDC released new data today that the risk of myocarditis after the Pfizer vaccine is at least 10 times the expected rate in 12 – 17 year old males and females. The German government has issued public guidance against vaccinating those under the age of 18.
The World Health Organization posted an update to its website on Monday, June 21, which contained the statement in respect of advice for Covid-19 vaccination that “Children should not be vaccinated for the moment.” Within 24 hours, this guidance was withdrawn and new guidance was posted which stated that “Covid vaccines are safe for those over 18 years of age.”
Dr. Christian says there is a large, growing “network of ethical, moral physicians and scientists” who are urging caution in recommending vaccines for all children without informed consent. He said, physicians must “always put their patients and humanity first.”

Dr. Byram Bridle, a prominent immunologist at the University of Guelph with a sub-speciality in vaccinology, recently participated in a Press Conference on Parliament Hill on CPAC organized by MP Derek Sloan, where he discussed the censorship of scientists and physicians. Dr. Bridle expressed his safety concerns with vaccinating children with experimental MRNA vaccines.
Justice Centre Litigation Director Jay Cameron also has concern over the growing censorship of medical professionals when it comes to questioning the government narrative on Covid. “We are seeing a clear pattern of highly competent and skilled medical doctors in very esteemed positions being taken down and censored or even fired, for practicing proper science and medicine,” says Mr. Cameron.
The Justice Centre represented Dr. Chris Milburn in Nova Scotia, who faced professional disciplinary proceedings last year after a group of activists took exception to an opinion column he wrote in a local paper. The Justice Centre provided submissions to the College on Dr. Milburn’s behalf, defending the right of physicians to express their opinions on matters of policy in the public square and arguing that everyone is entitled to freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, as guaranteed by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms – including doctors. The Justice Centre noted that attempting to have a doctor professionally disciplined for his opinions and commentary on matters of public interest amounts to bullying and intimidation for speaking out against the government.
Last week, Dr. Milburn also faced punishment for speaking out with his concerns about public health policies, as he was removed from his position as the Head of Emergency for the eastern zone with the Nova Scotia Health Authority. In an unusual twist, a petition has been started to have Dr. Milburn replace Dr. Strang as the province’s Chief Medical Officer.
“Censoring and punishing scientists and doctors for freely voicing their concerns is arrogant, oppressive and profoundly unscientific”, states Mr. Cameron.
“Both the western world and the idea of scientific inquiry itself is built to a large extent on the principles of freedom of thought and speech. Medicine and patient safety can only regress when dogma and an elitist orthodoxy, such as that imposed by the Saskatchewan College of Medicine, punishes doctors for voicing concerns,” Mr. Cameron concludes.

Deacon Puscas: Running marathon for Liver charity

My name is Vic Puscas, and I’m a deacon in the Catholic Church. My hobby is running, and although I’m not very fast, I enjoy an early morning jog with my dog. Over the years, I’ve increased my endurance and I’ve actually run a number of marathons.

I’ve been accepted as a runner for this year’s Boston Marathon to be run on Columbus Day, October 11, 2021. There are only two ways to get in as a runner for Boston.
One way is to qualify by running a fast pace, but in all humility, I’m too slow to ever qualify. The other way is to run as a “charity runner” for a Boston Athletic Association approved charity.
This Fall, I will be running for the American Liver Foundation, an approved charity, in an attempt to raise money for the treatment and cure of liver disease, and I’m asking you for two things.
First, if you’re able, I’m asking you to make a small donation.  By making a donation on my behalf, you will be helping the American Liver Foundation provide critical funding for medical research, public education and patient support services, and every penny helps.
As a participant in the Liver Life Challenge, I’m helping in the fight against liver disease, but I cannot do it without your help. Every step I take and every dollar I raise will make a difference in the lives of the millions of Americans living with liver disease.
Second, and just as importantly, I’m asking you to send me your prayer intentions. I will absolutely pray for you as I run from Hopkinton to Boston! For me, it takes about 4 ½ hours to run a marathon.
I have to find something to do during those hours to pass the time. It dawned on me that I could pray for people’s prayer intentions as I run by reading those prayer requests on a wristband…kind of like a quarterback in football who has the plays on a card on a wristband.
Over and over for 4 ½ hours, I will pray for you and I will offer up my pain as a sacrifice for your prayers. For one previous marathon, I had 48 different prayer requests and I prayed for all of them as I ran.

GraceLife takes Alberta Health Services to court

GraceLife Church, Pastor James Coates, and three congregants have filed a court application against Alberta Health Services (AHS), Health Minister Tyler Shandro, and Chief Medical Officer of Health, Deena Hinshaw, to force the government to return the building and grounds of the Church.

On April 7, 2021, RCMP entered the property of GraceLife Church, under the direction of AHS, allegedly under the executive order of Alberta Health Minister Tyler Shandro. With paid security and AHS in attendance, RCMP seized the building and put up three layers of fences and barricades around the building and the surrounding property.
For over two months, the Alberta Government has possessed GraceLife’s church building and kept the doors guarded, preventing the exercise of Charter-guaranteed rights and freedoms to worship, associate, and assemble at the building.
Pastor Coates and GraceLife, which is southwest of Edmonton, are charged with violating the Public Health Act for having held normal church services from November 2020 through until Easter Sunday, 2021.
Pastor Coates spent one month and six days in jail before his release on March 22, 2021, because he would not sign a bail agreement to stop pastoring his church according to the congregation’s belief that it must gather as an entire corporate body for worship services.
The congregants of GraceLife have continued to gather for Sunday morning worship, but now do so “underground” at different secret locations each week.
The GraceLife Applicants contend the public health restrictions on worship violate their rights to freedom of religion, freedom of expression, freedom of peaceful assembly, freedom of association, liberty, and security of the person as protected by sections 2 and 7 of the Charter.
In addition to asking the Court to strike down the public health restrictions, the GraceLife Applicants are seeking the immediate return of their building and an order from the court prohibiting law enforcement and government agents from attempting to break up or disrupt worship services.
Three congregants of GraceLife Church, Dr. Donna Klay, Achnes Smith, and Allan Neil, have joined the Church and Pastor Coates in asking the Court to uphold their constitutional rights by reversing the government’s seizure of their church building.
Expert reports have been filed in support of this court challenge from medical professionals and scientists including: esteemed virologist and immunologist, Dr. Byram Bridle; an expert pathologist; in addition to a medical microbiologist and infectious disease specialist.
These extensive expert reports include scientific evidence that asymptomatic transmission is negligible, that masks are ineffective and irrational, and that capacity limits of church gatherings are also irrational and have no basis in science.
The Justice Centre will also be appealing the June 7 decision of Alberta Provincial Court Judge Robert Shaigec, who ruled that the arrest, prosecution and imprisonment of Pastor Coates did not violate his Charter rights and freedoms, and that ticketing Pastor Coates for leading a regular worship service did not violate freedoms of religion, expression, assembly, and association.
Meanwhile, dates will be set for the remainder of Pastor Coates’ trial on June 30, 2021. The remaining portion of the trial, which involves a challenge to the constitutionality and legality of Dr. Deena Hinshaw’s lockdown restrictions, would normally have coincided with the first part of the trial.
Over the objections of Justice Centre lawyers, Alberta Provincial Court granted an adjournment because government lawyers were not yet prepared to present any medical or scientific evidence in court, after more than a year of lockdowns.
Government lawyers have now proposed that the second phase of the trial be put off for many more months, until after the Justice Centre’s lockdown challenge in the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench proceeds to a hearing in late September 2020.
“The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms establishes personal individual liberty as the default law in Canada, and requires governments to justify demonstrably – with compelling evidence – any law, policy or health order that violates any of our fundamental freedoms to move, travel, associate, worship, assemble, and express ourselves. This very basic constitutional requirement has been ignored completely by governments at every level in the past 15 months, who have acted as though they are accountable to no one. Unfortunately, Alberta courts have so far permitted the government to delay facing accountability in regard to Charter violations,” states lawyer Jay Cameron, Litigation Director at the Justice Centre.
“Barricading GraceLife Church has everything to do with punishing dissent, and nothing to do with public safety. The Premier wines and dines his Cabinet at the Sky Palace with impunity, but church congregants cannot peacefully gather to pray together and worship on their own property in accordance with their conscience and in exercise of their constitutional freedoms,” notes Mr. Cameron. ‘In four weeks, literally tens of thousands of people will gather in Calgary for a massive rodeo party, but no one is allowed to enter GraceLife Church because it is “too dangerous’. Alberta has become a four-alarm civil liberties dumpster fire, and we are asking the judiciary to put it out.”

Defend Pastor Tim Stephens from COVID police

Pastor Tim Stephens was again arrested illegally on Monday, June 14 at his home in Calgary. This is the second time Pastor Stephens has been arrested for leading Fairview Baptist Church in regular worship services.

Fairview Baptist held an outdoor church worship service on Sunday, June 13 in Calgary. This was the second Sunday in a row that Fairview Baptist congregants were forced to worship outdoors because AHS locked them out of their building.
On the afternoon of Monday, June 14, the Calgary Police Service (CPS) arrived at Pastor Stephens’ house and arrested him in front of his wife and eight distraught children. A video of the arrest is available on Twitter, showing Pastor Stephens being hauled away by CPS as his eight children and his wife weep in the driveway of their Calgary home. Pastor Stephens is seen reaching through the bars of the police cruiser to touch hands with his horrified children before being taken away.
The most recent arrest of Pastor Stephens relates to an alleged incident on June 6, 2021 in Calgary. Pastor Stephens is alleged to have been conducting an outdoor church service with about 200 congregants of Fairview Baptist church. A police helicopter was deployed to search for and detect this gathering, and to collect evidence against Pastor Stephens of non-compliance with public health restrictions. The Pastor is now charged with an offence under s.127 of the Criminal Code of Canada, alleging failure or refusal to comply with a Court Order.
The CPS justifies its arrest of Pastor Stephens on the 13 May Order of Associate Chief Justice Rooke, which applies only to Whistle Stop Café, its owners, and other “John Does” and “Jane Does” working in concert with Whistle Stop or under Whistle Stop’s instructions. The May 13 Order does not apply to Pastor Stephens, and cannot be used to justify the two arrests of Pastor Stephens on May 16 and June 14.
Pastor Stephens is currently at the Calgary Remand Centre and the next court hearing takes place on June 28, 2021. Pastor Stephens has been ticketed several times for allegedly breaching Dr. Deena Hinshaw’s public health orders. The Justice Centre is representing Pastor Stephens regarding those tickets and intends to argue that they must all be thrown out because of the unlawful arrest of Pastor Stephens on May 16, which breached several of his Charter rights.
“The May 13 court order does not apply to the public broadly and it is our position that AHS is engaged in an intentional act of public deception and abuse of authority in arresting Pastor Stephens and others. Further, it appears that Premier Kenney’s government is targeting its enemies, those who are speaking out against lockdown restrictions and for Charter freedoms,” states lawyer Jay Cameron, Litigation Director at the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms.
“Locking out Fairview Baptist congregants and arresting Pastor Tim Stephens has everything to do with punishing dissent, and nothing to do with public safety. Just yesterday, UCP MLA for Lac Ste. Anne – Parkland, Shane Clayton Getson, was photographed at an event, Air Tour 2021, with at least a dozen people pictured not wearing masks or social distancing at Villeneuve Airport,” notes Mr. Cameron.

“The Premier wines and dines his ministers at the Sky Palace with impunity, but church congregants cannot peacefully gather to pray together and worship on their own property in accordance with their conscience and in exercise of their constitutional freedoms.”
“In two weeks, literally tens of thousands of people will gather in Calgary for a massive rodeo party, but Tim Stephens cannot lead his congregation in worship because Premier Kenney believes this to be too dangerous,” continues Mr. Cameron.
“The province is supposed to be fully opening in less than two weeks and yet AHS is leading the charge to lock up Christian pastors, and anyone else who criticizes Alberta’s thin-skinned health tyrants,” concludes Mr. Cameron.
Pastor Stephens was previously arrested and jailed after leading a church service at Fairview Baptist on Sunday, May 16, on the basis of a May 6 court injunction issued against Whistle Stop Café in Mirror, Alberta, in a secret court proceeding. Pastor Stephens was in jail for three days.
The May 6 injunction was worded such that it applied not only to Whistle Stop Café and certain activists, but to every Albertan having notice of this May 6 injunction. AHS was thrilled, boasting in a May 6 news release that it “sought and received a court order against all other organizers of advertised illegal gatherings and rallies breaching COVID-19 public health orders.” Suddenly, Albertans gathering outdoors in numbers larger than five could be locked up in jail immediately, without any ability to defend themselves against unconstitutional health orders.
On May 13, 2021, the Justice Centre applied in court to amend the AHS injunction, such that it would no longer apply to every Albertan. Lawyers for AHS, knowing that their May 6 injunction was contrary to numerous and very clear court rulings that limit injunctions only to named parties, consented to this change, in court, on the record, with media present. The judge amended the injunction shortly after 10:00 a.m. on May 13. From that moment onward, it applied only to Whistle Stop and associated activists, not to every Albertan.
The first arrest of Pastor Stephens on May 16 was unlawful because he was never served with a copy of the court injunction, which is a requirement of the injunction. On May 9, Calgary Police officers served a copy of the injunction upon a gentleman by the name of Kent Pederson, mistakenly believing him to be Pastor Stephens. At no time did CPS ever serve the injunction upon Pastor Stephens.
The Justice Centre informed the court and AHS of the lack of service upon Pastor Stephens, at which point AHS dropped the case against Pastor Stephens.
More significantly, even if Pastor Stephens had been served properly with the May 13 Order, his arrest on May 16 would still have been illegal, because the May 13 Order does not apply to him. The May 13 court order only applies to Whistle Stop Café, Chris Scott, and Glen Carritt, and individuals operating in concert with or under the direction of these individuals. Tim Stephens does not know Chris Scott and has never spoken to him.
Alberta’s public health orders are subject to Charter challenges in two separate court actions, both dating back to 2020. Thus far the Alberta Government has failed to produce any medical or scientific evidence, in either court action, that might justify its public health orders as required by the Charter.
At the trial of Pastor James Coates in May 2021, the Alberta Government, after more than 13 months of imposing lockdowns, was unwilling or unable to produce any evidence in court to justify its violations of Charter freedoms. In a different court action filed in December of 2020, the Alberta Government persuaded the court to give it until July of 2021 to produce evidence to justify lockdowns.

Help a persecuted priest continue his ministry

Fr. Mark White could be laicized for continuing to blog about the cover-up of abuse in the Catholic Church.

His bishop in Richmond, Virginia, who was once a secretary to disgraced prelate Theodore McCarrick, is intent on laicizing Fr. Mark because he started blogging again about the abuse crisis which engulfed the Church and how many people still in power turned a blind eye or actively covered it up.
Fr. Mark is doing this work in order to clean up God’s Church and save souls in the process.
