Help Students Stay Catholic in College!

College students are hemorrhaging out of the Church at a rate of about 80% by the time they graduate college. The Associates of St. John Bosco, though, is doing something about that in Virginia. We are equipping students with the networks and connections, tips and tools, and formative resources to help them keep their Catholic faith – all before they step foot onto campus.

Our free College Night events in the summer between high school graduation and college move-in give students the prime opportunity to take their Catholic faith into their own hands and to choose to live their lives in college for Christ! Students hear from upperclassmen about how to keep their Catholic faith in college. Then students break up into small groups, dependent on campus or college. Students, therefore, get to meet other Catholics going to their college before they move into college. Students then receive a free package of Catholic books and sacramentals to take with them, so that they can continue their formation in the Catholic faith.
We also award $18,000 in scholarships to students who seek to serve the Church upon graduating. Our awardees have gone on to become a sister, a brother, a Catholic school teacher (to name a few), and even more are aspiring youth ministers, teachers, and those with religious vocations.
Your donation will enable our students to keep their Catholic faith in college and beyond! Thank you for your generous support.
