A New OBGYN Labor and Delivery Hospital in Tanzania, Africa. Love Made Visible: Caring for Mothers at Birth

LiftLife Global Health, in partnership with the existing Catholic Mission Hospital in Mbeya operated under the Archdiocese, is building a dedicated OBGYN Labor & Delivery Hospital and Maternity Waiting Home to serve mothers and babies in rural Tanzania—communities where skilled birth care is often hours away.

Every day, women enter labor without access to proper facilities, trained medical staff, or emergency support. What should be a moment of joy becomes a dangerous journey. Too many routine deliveries turn into life-threatening emergencies simply because care is out of reach.

This new OBGYN center and Maternity Waiting Home will transform that reality by providing:

  • Safe and dignified delivery rooms

  • Emergency obstetric and newborn care

  • Prenatal and postnatal services

  • A protective, compassionate environment for mothers

  • A Maternity Waiting Home where women in late pregnancy can stay close to skilled care—eliminating long, risky travel during labor and drastically improving birth outcomes

By supporting this campaign, you join a mission that is strengthening families for generations. Together—with our trusted Catholic healthcare partners in Mbeya—we are transforming maternal healthcare from uncertainty to safety, from fear to hope.

Every mother deserves a safe birth.
Your support helps make that promise a reality.
