Bring life-saving Baby-Boxes to 10 more states
Monica Kelsey is on a mission to bring Safe Haven Baby Boxes to every state.
The boxes have already saved lives in Indiana and Ohio, but now she wants to expand to 10 more states that have the worst rates of newborn abandonment.

Monica’s work offers women in difficulty another reason to continue their crisis pregnancy, knowing her organization will be there to help when the baby arrives.
The boxes, which cost $10,000 each to develop, install and monitor, are a vital way to let women know that they have options.
When a baby is placed in the box, first responders are immediately alerted and arrive on the scene to find the newborn within an average of two minutes.
That baby is firstly taken care in a hospital, and then Safe Haven begin the work of finding the right parents to adopt the precious child.
Safe Haven Baby Boxes also runs a 24/7 helpline that takes regular calls from across the country, often providing women with the support they need to continue through pregnancy.
Last week brought the good news of yet another newborn saved using the Safe Haven Baby Box.
The boxes are now present at a total of 70 locations in Indiana, Ohio, Florida and Arkansas, with the Safe Haven team responsible for saving at least 100 babies since their inception in 2016.
Monica’s dream however is to see the boxes rolled out in every state, so our target is to have Safe Haven establish a presence in 10 more states with the worst rates of newborn abandonment.

– Michigan
– South Carolina
– Illinois
– North Carolina

Too often we read stories about unwanted newborns being abandoned in dumpsters and under bridges, and we know people are more likely to reject abortion if they can be helped during and after their crisis pregnancy.
