Support for Mariana and Her Family

Hello, my name is Gloria. I am fundraising for my niece’s medical care. Little Mariana had a heart attack on Friday, May 17, 2024.

She is only 11 years old and had just been sick with a bad cold. On that morning, she couldn’t be awakened. After the paramedics came and were finally able to revive her, she went to the intensive care unit. It was discovered that she has type 1 diabetes as well as a staph infection.
She has been on life support since that time and this has been a very intense time of sadness for her family of six siblings, parents, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
My brother, her father, has not left her side; he has not been able to return to work as every day, Mariana’s life is held by a thin thread.
I am fundraising to help support my brother Chris and sister-in-law Jodi. The medical bills will be enormous and they already have two autistic child at home that needs care, too, in addition to the other five kids.
Currently, she has made major improvements, such as, she is off of dialysis, eats from a G- tube, and has successfully weaned off of heart medicine.
I pray that you can help with some of this financial burden and with prayers for this family. May you in turn be greatly blessed!
All donors will be remembered in daily prayers.
Update:
Thank you so much for your continuing prayers and support. It is truly heartwarming during this stressful time. Mariana is still in a coma but she is no longer in ICU, which is a great achievement, as she is stable and many functions are working on their own. She is now in a pediatric subacute care facility where they are very positive and caring with Mariana. They have been sitting her up in a wheelchair, and she is now able to go outside for fresh air, or to the activity room for more stimulation. They are giving her physical therapy to keep her muscles working, sensory therapy – using favorite songs, music and scents. It was wonderful to see her lean into the chocolate smell, so typical of Mariana. She is still breathing with the aid of a respirator, however she is needing less oxygen than before, and often breathing on her own. The goal is to wean her off of the respirator completely.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support.

Sponsor A Young Pro-Lifer: Washington D.C 2025

Every year, Campaign Life Coalition (CLC) sends a delegation of pro-life young people to the Washington D.C March for Life to support our American brothers and sisters in the fight to end abortion. Often times, this life-changing opportunity is a young person’s first interaction with CLC;  Our CLC Youth Coordinators, Kim, and Gideon, both started our own involvement with CLC through attending the Washington D.C March for Life trip, later becoming interns and then full-timers! Our young people come back home reenergized, inspired, and ready to make abortion unthinkable in their schools, churches, and communities. Typically, these same young people join CLCY and take leadership roles in organizing the various youth events at our own National March for Life in Ottawa.

As costs of travel have increased significantly, we are reaching out to ask for YOUR help in funding this life-changing experience, by helping to sponsor a young person.

So, here’s the plan for this year… on January 22nd, 2026, around 50 CLCY delegates will be departing from Ontario on a bus, arriving in time to attend the March for Life and rally at the National Mall in Washington D.C. on January 23rd!

On the day after the March for Life, youth will head over to the National Pro-Life Summit hosted by Students for Life of America. It will be a day of inspiring pro-life talks by top speakers in the Pro-life movement. There are a number of acclaimed speakers who will be on stage, including Kristan Hawkins, Kevin Sorbo, Brett Cooper, Riley Gaines and more! They will talk about a variety of issues while encouraging young people to get involved with the defense of human life. Not only will our youth delegates be immersed in these pro-life talks, but they will be responsible for aiding us in the planning of our own youth summit on May 14th, 2026, by providing speaker suggestions and feedback on aspects we can incorporate to improve our summit. We will return to Canada that same night, by bus.

Testimony from last year’s attendee, Gideon:

“The trip was one of the greatest experiences of my life, and it was an amazing opportunity to stand up for something I so strongly believe in, the ending of abortion. It was so inspiring to see tens of thousands of young people defending life for every innocent human being”

Testimony from a 2019 trip attendee, Jennifer:

“I cannot express in words how much the March for Life in Washington, D.C has inspired me. As we stood in front of the Canadian Embassy, cheering on the hundreds of thousands of Americans that passed us by, I could not help but sense the hope that surged through the air, like a great and powerful wave. I spoke to one of the marchers, communicating my feelings of hope for our cause. He replied, “What we need for our movement is hope . . . hope, and tenacity.” How true is that? The battle continues, and we must muster our strength. Yet, all is in vain if we do not have hope. Hope is the driving force. As William Green said at the SFLA conference, “Hold on tight to faith. You are the generation that will save lives.” Kristin Hawkins, at the SFLA conference, also spoke of hope when she said, “I believe we can run this race and finish it.” Now, reflecting back on my experience in front of the Canadian Embassy, I feel more keenly than ever this tsunami of hope. I am reminded of the profound words, spoken by actress Robia Scott at the SFLA conference, “God is on the move.” From my heart, I wish to express deep gratitude to CLCY and their donors for giving us the opportunity to witness Life in Washington, D. C.”

Here is our cost breakdown for the 50 youth who are coming:

Hotel (The Westin DC Downtown): $11,255.02

Pro-Life Summit Tickets: $ 5,937.86

Bus Expense: $9,200 plus accommodation for driver

The grand total for the entire trip: $26,392.88 CDN.

As in previous years, we are hoping to raise enough funds to help cut the travel costs by more than half for our delegates, most of whom are students.  With your support, we hope to raise $15,552.88, which will help pay for 60% of our delegates’ expenses so that they are granted the experience of a lifetime!
