Lenten almsgiving for Africa chastity programs

Keep the CHASTITY message strong in Africa and save lives!
The A-B-C (Abstinence-Be faithful in
marriage-through Christ) of Universal Chastity Education (UCE) has
been brought to youth for 20 years in AFRICA. Chastity is 100%
pro-life.

·
Chastity combats AIDS,
STDs, abortion, human trafficking, teen pregnancy, school drop-outs, and
polygamy. Girls and boys stay in school and thrive. Headmasters beg UCE
teams to visit their schools.

Chastity builds relationship with Christ, health, positive peer relationships, faithful marriages, vocations, and builds character

Since its founding in 2004, over 800,000 young people have signed commitments
to chastity through UCE outreaches led by African teams
. Teams are trained, motivated, and highly effective as they live and model the “chastity life” to youth. Your
donation will fund ongoing UCE programs in Uganda, Burundi and Tanzania.

·     UCE has high-level endorsements:  Emmanuel Cardinal Wamala (Uganda),
Bishop Tarcisius Ngalalekumtwa (Tanzania) and Archbishop Martin Blaise Nyaboho
(Burundi) as well as multiple bishops and other Christian clergy in Africa and
the USA have signed full endorsement of UCE.

·      UCE
depends solely on private donors.

UCE answers youth’s questions with correct medical facts about the risks of sexual activity outside of marriage.

UCE believes that “Our God is a God of second chance” and that we all can change through the strength of Christ.

·       Give UCE your full support: $350
sponsors one team outreach to a school in rural Africa, reaching hundreds (watch video above)
 $100 buys radio time for testimonies, and $50 buys 300 chastity commitment cards that the kids sign and retain. $35 towards gas and unexpected repairs, $1000 funds 4 outreaches over 2 days, $3000 donation brings chastity to an entire district with over a full week of outreaches to schools.

·      Support UCE: a godly, wholesome, positive ministry that brings youth to Christ.

Every donation of every amount builds UCE. Very large donations will sustain the UCE ministry into the future. Your donation to UCE is tax-deductible to the extent permitted by
law. Too good to be true? Nope, it’s true. Come, join us!

Mom spoke against woke school board & lost her job

Dear Mama and Papa Bears & Lionesses,
An Ontario mom has been subjected to unfair treatment ever since she decided to stand up for children’s right to their innocence. You may have read about it back in March at CBC news Toronto. She needs help with funds for legal expenses as since she’s planning on suing her former employer and still has had no luck finding a job.
This mom simply expressed her concerns at a board meeting about the dangers of SOGI being introduced at schools and spoke against the “Safe Space’ stickers for the lgbtq community which were posted at Catholic elementary schools in York region without parental knowledge.
In February 2023, you may recall the YCDSB held a meeting with delegates (parents) who were given 5 minutes to present. The board didn’t explain the process / privacy policy and her name was subsequently published on the school’s website. They didn’t even redact her home address and telephone number properly!
At this meeting, she was one of two parents who spoke to the board regarding lgbtq ideology in schools. She presented her case for removal of the pride stickers from elementary schools stating they were a symbol of sexual preference and did not provide safety for anyone. The flag and stickers are a celebratory symbol of a sexual life’s and nothing more. They are discriminatory toward non lgbtq students.
She spoke many truths saying that the stickers were more divisive and only addressed lgbtq community. What about all the other kids who also deserve to feel accepted and safe. The universal symbol for all at Catholic schools is the Cross.
The other parents at the meeting were rooting for her and the other delegate and they weren’t shy! As the crowd got louder, the board decided that they needed involve the Police to attempt to silence parents. And just like that, within 5 minutes, 7 police cruisers appeared even though no crime had been committed.
On March 5, CBC News printed a biased news article which is attached above, written by a self proclaimed bleeding heart queer journalist and painted parents as hateful and aggressive. CBC named her – using her first and last name, while falsely portraying her as a homophobe and a bully. They quoted her out of context and claimed that she believed that homosexuality should be considered a crime. They later retracted that part but the damage was done.
Later that evening a ton of online hate towards her and the other delegate started to trickle down, beginning with a Reddit group with over 2000 people- they called her names and spewed hateful comments towards her. Another large thread on Twitter showed hundreds of others doing the same & many people demanded her termination.
The alphabet mob googled her name, found the only social media account with her real name which was LinkedIn. Then they hash-tagged the company, where she was newly employed & still on probation, linked the CBC article to their tweet and demanded her swift termination! And they did exactly that. They didn’t even give her the benefit of the doubt. They just fired her without cause.
This is where we are in Canada now. How sad.
She has since been forced to change her surname back to her maiden name to avoid any further backlash. She just wants to get back to work but it’s hard these days and she is really struggling to find a new job.
My fellow warriors – if you are able to support her please do. It will not go unnoticed.
Thanks in advance you guys! Keep fighting the good fight! We are all brave & loving souls who share the same values and we must do all we can to uphold them in this mad mad world.
Much love ❤️

Medicine, food & shelter needed for 7 nuns who fled warzone

We are the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. We were founded in 1954 in Juba, South Sudan (then Sudan) by Comboni Missionary Bishop Sisto Mazzoldi to respond to the needs of the poor, the neglected, afflicted, and those who have not heard the Good News of salvation. We serve in Sudan, South Sudan, Uganda, Kenya and in the Archdiocese of Phoenix in Arizona, USA.

In South Sudan and Sudan, we are afflicted by wars for over 50 years but never give up on serving, because our charism is to spread the “Love and Compassion” of the Heart of Jesus to the vulnerable. And to “Live love in Truth”. At times we become vulnerable too.

Our work has many challenges. The wars in South Sudan and Sudan have affected the people we work with and our own sisters had to evacuate the place for their safety as bombs and bullets were falling and flying in any direction.

Most of the children we ran with are malnourished, vulnerable, illiterate, and suffer high death rates. We also experience rampant killings.

Two of our Sisters were brutally killed on 16th August 2021 enroute to Juba. We encounter abductions in our work.

In April, four of our sisters were in a terrible accident while escaping from Khartoum – one sister broke four ribs, another broke her collar bone, and two sustained chest injuries.

Later on, 3 Sisters were evacuated by the Vulnerable People Project (VPP) amidst fighting in Khartoum. All the sisters came with just the clothes on their bodies – without beddings and other necessities. 5 sisters have remained serving the refugees and IDPs in the settlements at the border.

Both the people we serve and the Sisters have run out of basic needs, of food, medicines, clothes, sanitary items. They lack clean water and cannot educate the children in these circumstances. The needs are enormous on the ground.

Your assistance will help us to purchase medicine to rescue children and their mothers, give food to the malnourished, clothing for the naked, and clean water to avoid water-borne diseases killing our children. We kindly ask you to join hands with us to rescue a children and mothers, and help Nuns so that they can serve better.

God bless you and replace what you have generously given to save lives in South Sudan and Sudan.

Comment from the Superior General Sr Alice Jurugo:

Our sisters came in two groups and each had different experiences on the way. While the first from Khartoum led by the Provincial came without assistance and traveled for three days, the second group from Omdurman took six days but were well supported by the Vulnerable People Project and taken care of until they were officially handed to the community of St. Joseph in Juba.

However, both groups were brave and resilient, constantly trusting in God’s protection and Providence. This has been the life of our Institute right from its inception in 1954. We were hardly ten years in existence when the first civil war in Sudan started in 1960s. Over the

six decades nothing seems to have changed except location of the wars.
I would like to thank our Sr. AAA for her open and generous heart for introducing her Institute to her personal friend and colleagues in the USA at such a time of great need. And on behalf of my Council, and on my own behalf, I want to thank Sister’s generous friend CM and her team within and abroad for their genuine concern and generosity through the V PP in rescuing our sisters out of Sudan war.

As expressed already, this event was never planned for and our 7 sisters are here in Juba in dire need of even basic items such as food, clothing, shelter, medicine and personal effects, and the survival of the four from the accident, has given us courage to trust in God more.

We would be most grateful if there are still wellwishers to stand by us in supporting these sisters. Our prayers remain with the five sisters still in Sudan; 2 in El-Obeid and 3 in Kosti who have remained to give service among the South Sudanese refugees.

FSSP Warrington Priory Campaign

Help us
complete the
conversion work for

  • 1) a versatile Shrine hall sitting 218 guests and
    pilgrims (Middle Floor);
  • 2) classrooms, repository and admin space (Ground Floor);
  • 3) twelve bedrooms for pilgrims, visiting seminarians and priests (Top Floor).

Before lockdown we did raise £1M to buy and convert this property, next door to our beautiful church. But costs have soared since Covid. With us, invest in re-evangelising England.

This is how:

[Please note, the video above was recorded before the Covid crisis but the pastoral aim of the Priory Campaign remains.]

  • → Quarterly magazine
    Dowry to spread the
    faith and other publications;
  • → St Mary’s Academy to help our children become saints; on the very spot where the nuns of the Venerable Elizabeth Prout (foundress of the female branch of the Passionists) taught children for decades;
  • → First
    priestly ordinations in the traditional form in England and yearly
    Confirmations by local Archbishop;
  • → Best
    stability: St Mary’s Shrine is so far in England the only place of its kind legally
    owned
    by a traditional order; and the FSSP has a special decree from the Pope
    to use the traditional liturgy for all the sacraments.

God bless you.Placeholder Image
