Hello!
My name is Kevin Roman, and I am a young Catholic volunteer living in Pennsylvania.
For years, seven Catholic
young men (including myself) have been hoping to go on a pilgrimage to the
Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, where the great apostle Saint James
is buried. The Camino de Santiago,
which translates to The Path of St. James,
is a traditional pilgrimage route that Catholics have walked for centuries in
reparation for sin and pray for special intentions.
This year, we have received the opportunity to
make reparation for abortion in this beautiful way. We are all looking
forward to this sublime pilgrimage during our Easter break, but certain
obstacles may force us to cancel our plane tickets and call off the trip.
We know the pilgrimage
won’t be easy. We will need to walk over 160 miles through rough terrain and
climb over three mountains to reach our sacred destination. However, through
prayer and perseverance, we will make it!
If we are able to make it to
Santiago de Compostella, we will offer our sufferings, sacrifices, and prayers
for this most important intention. After
all, reparation is needed now more than ever!
But we don’t have enough funds to fulfill our
promise.
Thankfully, we had the money to purchase our plane tickets and did so before
the prices rose any higher. However, there are still many other expenses that
need to be covered. For example, we need to pay for food, lodging, hiking
equipment and a rental car to take us to Portugal, where we will start our 160-mile
journey. This is where we need your help!
With the start date less
than two months away and the price of everything constantly rising, it doesn’t look like we are going to make
it…
This is why I’m asking you to spiritually join
us in this act of reparation and help us make it to Santiago! Whatever you can give
will help us in our pilgrimage of reparation.
Furthermore, we will be
offering up our prayers and sacrifices for those who spiritually join us with prayers
and encouragement. All those who donate
to help make this possible will have their petitions personally brought to the
tomb of Saint. James, Our Lady of the Pillar, Covadonga, and other
spiritually significant places throughout our journey, where we will pray for
you.
In addition to abortion,
we will also be offering up our sufferings for these other intentions:
Our Lord is offended every
day, every hour, and even every minute by abortion and so much sin! We must
remember to make reparation for these sins, and we hope the Camino pilgrimage
will bring some consolation to Jesus and Mary.
Thank you for your
donations and prayers. In turn, we will be praying for you!
Saint James, pray for us!
With
gratitude,
Kevin Roman
