FABIOLA : The Timely Tale Of The Catacombs

Become a part of the feature length film FABIOLA – a story especially timely as we are surrounded by corruption in our world similar to our early Christian predecessors in third century Rome.

Practicing the morals of Christianity is not something that has always been viewed as a basic right. Before Christians could preach freely, they had to convert the empire that nearly covered the known world: Rome.

In Fabiola you will meet St. Pancratius the somewhat impetuous youth who removes divine edicts.

You will experience baptisms in the catacombs and martyrdoms in the amphitheater.

You’ll meet Fulvius and his villainous companion Corvinus as they hunt down and turn in Christians for profit. One victim of theirs is the drunkard and the gambler, Torquatus who during a state of despair and cowardice promises to spy on his fellow Christians.

You’ll witness the brave and manly St. Sebastian be martyred not once but twice; first struck by many arrows then surviving only to be cudgeled to death before the emperor.

Virgin martyrs grace the screen as they display the joy of giving oneself as a bride of Christ. Through it all, the Catholics keep their heads and spirits up. Yes, this movie is all about hope and change. True Godly hope and divine change.

May the Church, in her days of peace and of victories, never forget what she owes to the age of her martyrs! Or maybe during our own time we can say: May the Church, in her agony, draw hope from her days of peace and of victories and unite her current sufferings with that of her early martyrs.

The creative talent behind Fabiola are all practicing Catholics. You can rest assured then, that this film will uphold moral standards and tell a truly Catholic story. Character depth, setting, and authentic Catholicism make this film unique for audiences.

The boy martyrs St. Pancratius and St. Tarcisius, the virgin martyrs St. Agnes and St. Emerentiana, and of course the well-known soldier martyr St. Sebastian are portrayed in a new light as they interact with those who surround them in pagan Rome.

These are not characters who cower to the leaders of their day, but men and women who are not afraid to stand up and defend their Faith against the power of kings even in the face of certain death.
