Mom spoke against woke school board & lost her job

An Ontario mom has been subjected to unfair treatment ever since she decided to stand up for children’s right to their innocence. You may have read about it back in March at CBC news Toronto. She needs help with funds for legal expenses as since she’s planning on suing her former employer and still has had no luck finding a job.

This mom simply expressed her concerns at a board meeting about the dangers of SOGI being introduced at schools and spoke against the “Safe Space’ stickers for the lgbtq community which were posted at Catholic elementary schools in York region without parental knowledge.

In February 2023, you may recall the YCDSB held a meeting with delegates (parents) who were given 5 minutes to present. The board didn’t explain the process / privacy policy and her name was subsequently published on the school’s website. They didn’t even redact her home address and telephone number properly!

At this meeting, she was one of two parents who spoke to the board regarding lgbtq ideology in schools. She presented her case for removal of the pride stickers from elementary schools stating they were a symbol of sexual preference and did not provide safety for anyone. The flag and stickers are a celebratory symbol of a sexual life’s and nothing more. They are discriminatory toward non lgbtq students.

She spoke many truths saying that the stickers were more divisive and only addressed lgbtq community. What about all the other kids who also deserve to feel accepted and safe. The universal symbol for all at Catholic schools is the Cross.

The other parents at the meeting were rooting for her and the other delegate and they weren’t shy! As the crowd got louder, the board decided that they needed involve the Police to attempt to silence parents. And just like that, within 5 minutes, 7 police cruisers appeared even though no crime had been committed.

On March 5, CBC News printed a biased news article which is attached above, written by a self proclaimed bleeding heart queer journalist and painted parents as hateful and aggressive. CBC named her – using her first and last name, while falsely portraying her as a homophobe and a bully. They quoted her out of context and claimed that she believed that homosexuality should be considered a crime. They later retracted that part but the damage was done.

Later that evening a ton of online hate towards her and the other delegate started to trickle down, beginning with a Reddit group with over 2000 people- they called her names and spewed hateful comments towards her. Another large thread on Twitter showed hundreds of others doing the same & many people demanded her termination.

The alphabet mob googled her name, found the only social media account with her real name which was LinkedIn. Then they hash-tagged the company, where she was newly employed & still on probation, linked the CBC article to their tweet and demanded her swift termination! And they did exactly that. They didn’t even give her the benefit of the doubt. They just fired her without cause. 

This is where we are in Canada now. How sad.

She has since been forced to change her surname back to her maiden name to avoid any further backlash. She just wants to get back to work but it’s hard these days and she is really struggling to find a new job.
