Behold God is Love Deep Web Ministry
The Behold, God is Love Project is a volunteer run, deep web ministry, reaching out into the expanse of social media networks.
Volunteer media enthusiasts collaborate to produce compelling video adaptations of classic Christian works which are related to the project’s moniker— “Behold, God is Love”.
While each release is carefully crafted to produce the most vivid presentation possible, the most unique aspect of the project is its means of delivery within social networks.
Usually in online marketing, businesses leverage statistics to target people who might be interested in their product or service. For example, if someone where selling coffee, they would promote an advertisement or video to users with interests in things like ‘coffee’, ‘coffee shops’, ‘books’, ‘cafes’, ‘energy drinks’, ‘grocery’, etc.
These advertisements or videos then show up in the targeted users’ social feeds— usually with the notification of “Sponsored” or “Promotional” posts.
The Project is different, however, in that it attempts to market these videos to those who might be most in need of God’s love, through paid targeted campaigns to interest groups that are associated with the seven deadly sins of the Christian tradition: Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, Pride.
For example, within the lust category, interests that the Project might target are: “pornography”, “prostitution”, “adult dancing”, “sex industry”, etc.
These videos are not intended to, nor do they, accuse, but rather artfully speak the truth of God’s love at a moment when we all could stand to hear it— in our weakness.
And here, is where the project needs your help!
These social campaigns require small fees with each social network. It costs about $10 a week to reach 2,500 people. BGIL would like to promote the videos at this amount weekly on three different networks, for a total of $30 per week in operating costs, or a total of $1500 per year.
