Just a few days ago, we received a call from the Sisters of Life in Toronto who were seeking assistance in transitioning a 21-year-old pregnant mother into her new home. The father of the baby is not present, and she has been in and out of homeless shelters over the duration of the last few months. She is a resourceful young woman and was able to find an apartment for herself. She is due on Wednesday, October 26th, which is also her move-in date so, this is a period of much change and stress. She has very little and requires a number of items for her baby and furniture for her new home. All she has, furniture-wise, is a bassinet for her baby and a queen-sized bed frame without a mattress for herself. Please consider donating to provide this young mum with the baby essentials she needs to transition into motherhood. It takes a village to raise a child, let’s overwhelm this courageous young mother with love and support! We have put together a team of volunteers to assist her with her move and have connected with local pregnancy care centres to register her in their programs.
