On April 12th, 2014, my dad suffered a traumatic brain
injury falling off of his bicycle and hitting his head on the ground while going 30 miles per hour. He has come so far over the past 8 years but
there are deficits that he still has not overcome. As a father of ten children, he is hoping to reach a new normal and now there are therapies that can bring significant improvement.
Recently, my dad received a tremendous gift in order to put him through some amazing innovative therapies with Plasticity Centers in Littleton, Colorado. Half of our $36,000 goal was provided in a very unexpected moment allowing my dad to begin his customized therapy program! However, the total goal is to combine neurological treatment with stem cell infusion and other related therapy that are proven to support brain cells and help grow new ones.
Please
consider helping my dad reach our $18,000 goal to complete these therapies so that he can have a
full and complete recovery from his brain injury.
What therapies is my dad doing?
- Plasticity Centers provides a combination of vestibular rehabilitation, physical therapy, vision therapy, aerobic exercise, and cognitive therapy. Already my dad has seen improvement! Check out https://plasticitycenters.com/.
- Stem cell therapeutics for traumatic brain injury using human live birth tissue bio-available materials. We will update once my dad has gone through this therapy.
- Neupanex by Clarke Bioscience to provide a 6-month regimen of “neuro-nutrient”
designed to support the body’s natural process of converting endogenous
stem cells into neurons and supporting the connections within the
brain. Check out https://clarkebioscience.com/.
Lastly, our goal is to complete most of these therapies by Thanksgiving this year. In December, we will provide a full update on my dad’s progress but will be adding updates between now and then for sure!
We are grateful for your support and thank you in advance for any donation you can make.
